Comments Policy
I absolutely love comments and definately encourage you to comment on any entry in my weblog, but please read these guidelines first. They will hopefully help me to run this blog smoothly and help you to stay out of trouble…
Comment Form Requirements
- You must fill in all required fields with a proper or legitimate sounding name and email adress. The “website” field is optional, but it can help your website gain exposure if you do fill this in. Comments using keywords, spam or splog-like URLs, or suspicious information will be edited or deleted.
- Your email adress is required for commenting, but it will never be published in the blog, nor will it be shared in any other way. As blog owner, I may use the email adresses of commenters to privately contact them, if I see fit.
- Please do not say your name is “Anonymous” and/or leave no valid information. Your comment, even if on topic or well-said, will be deleted. Your name is not Anonymous. And even if you do not want to give out your real name on the internet, please be kind enough to think of a suitable nick name.
- I will do whatever possible to keep the personal information of my commenters, such as phone numbers, email adresses, postal adresses, etc. private. Any personal or private information, posted in any comments will be deleted as soon as possible to protect the privacy of the commenter. If you want to provide me with your own personal information, I suggest you use the contact form or send me an email, which is much safer and secure than comments appearing online.
Comment Restrictions
- As you may have noticed from my blog posts, I do tend to use words such as “fuck” and “bitch” myself, so I don’t really bother if my commenters use such language too, although limited. Comments including nothing but swear words, and holding no real meaning, will certainly be deleted.
- A comment which does not add to the conversation, runs off on an inappropriate tangent, or kills the conversation may be edited, moved, or deleted. In other words, stick to the topic.
- This blog is setup to automatically hold any blog comment with more than two links in moderation, which may delay your comment from appearing on this blog. Any blog comment with more than four links could be marked as comment spam. These comments are blocked instantly by Akismet, so I may not notice it right away when such a comment is sent to the spam queue.
- No personal attacks are permitted in this blog’s comments. You may question or argue the content, but not attack the blogger, nor any other commenters. Failure to respect me as a blog owner or anyone of my commenters, could result in removal and blocked access from this website permanently.
- At this time, first-time comments are held in the moderation queue for approval by the blog owner (aka me). After a commenter has an initial comment approved, following comments will not be held in moderation, but will appear immediately after submission.
Comment Features
- Commenters have the ability to subscribe to comments on a certain posts. If they choose to do so, and provide a valid email adress, they will get a mail as soon as a new comment is posted on said post. Their email adress will not be used for anything else, such as notification of new blog posts, advertising, and so on. They may unsubscribe at any given time.
- After a commenter has typed his comment, he still has a limited amount of time to edit anything said in the comment. This is mostly so commenters would be able to edit their own typos or spelling errors, without having to bother the website administrator (yours truly) if they want to have them edited. After this amount of time has passed and they run into anything in their comment they want edited, commenters will have to contact me, so I can edit it for them. Please do not post another comment saying something like: “Oops I made a typo”, but contact me privately, so we can keep this weblog clean and tidy.
- Commenters may quote things said by other commenters, or reply to a comment itself rather than to the original post, if they feel like what they have to say is more of a response to a certain comment than to the post itself. There are several features installed to make this possible.
- Comments posted by the weblog owner (which would be posted under the name of ’Morgan’), are highlighted in a different colour. This is not because I believe myself to be so much more important than the rest of you, but for those seeking an answer to a specific questions they asked or remark they made, so they would have to waste less time searching through all the comments and could simply scan through the highlighted ones.
General Guidelines
- Any comment assumed to be possible comment spam will be deleted and marked as comment spam.
- Anyone who violates this Comments Policy may be blocked from future access and/or commenting on this blog. There are no exceptions.
- As owner of this weblog, I hold the right to edit, delete, move or mark as spam any and all comments. I also have the right to block access to anyone from commenting or from the entire blog, if I see fit.

I take it that everyone who comments on my blog, has read these rules or has atleast a basic understanding of netetiquette.
Note: I may change these guidelines at any given time and it is advised to check back for updates regularly.
