Easter: chocolate, chocolate and…chocolate?

Homework, The Family Life, Website Related Add comments

Well, it has been a busy week. Easter came and went and the Bunnies left me lots of chocolate, which I am now officially addicted to. I LOVE milk chocolate: I could eat it every single day, if it weren’t for the fact that I’d probably get the figure of a cow then. Unfortunately, this year I did not receive any presents, only money, which I’m intending to buy some books from later this week or maybe a new outfit, who knows?

A couple of days ago, I came across this website named GoodReads. It’s awesome. I was planning on adding some Book Reviews to this website, but now I realise that it’s not necessary anymore since GoodReads does the job for me. Also, the NowReading plugin I was intending to use kind of broke my post-dashboard. I asked about this problem on the forums of the original creator about a month ago, but he did not respond yet so I’m giving up my hopes with the plugin all together. Feel free to visit my GoodReads account instead, and you can all add me as a friend if you’d like. :)

I’ve been doing three things mostly lately: hanging out with my lovely boyfriend, reading the “Language of Stones” series by Rob Carter, studying the text named “Mothermurderer“, which is a Latin text explaining the murder of Agrippina by Nero. The latter decided to get rid of his bossy mother by first trying to drown her, then putting a sword through her heart, etc. Nasty boy. The text was written by Tacitus and is extremely long. Since we have a test about it just after the holidays, I decided to learn it earlier to get a head start. I wonder how long I’m going to keep THAT up. Hehe.

Now, I have two more things to say. One is that I’ve opened up a little Blogspot sub-weblog (why on Blogspot/Blogger? Because I hardly have enough space on here, and don’t want to spend it on a webbie that only needs all the features Blogger has!) with a very peculiar name. Shellaria: A fantasy world in the making. Since I’m currently writing my latest story/hopefully soon-to-be novel, Dragon’s Apprentice, I decided that I needed a place to store all the background information I have in my head, about the world in which this novel is set. First I was going to do it on here, but I’m not sure if that’s such a good idea, since it might get into the way of my blogging. So maybe I’ll add information about Shellaria now and then, and certainly I will inform you of how the novel develops, but I’m not going to post everything here. If you are interested, visit the weblog instead.

Last but not least: I’m planning some updates in the future, hopefully upgrading the accessibility of this website and adding some helpful visitor content. Apart from what I already have in mind: tutorials, articles, Sims II lots, designs and avatars, I was wondering if there is anything else you would like to see and if so, what exactly. Feel free to reply your answer here.

So, that was it. Pft, quite a long post eh? Anyway, have a Happy Easter Holiday and now I’m gonna go eat some more chocolate. Hehehehe. :)

    ZOMG I LUV CHOCOLATE 2!!!!!!111!!

Seriously I do, especially milk chocolate, it’s my weakness >.<. I didn’t get a lot of chocoalate this year :(

And what to do with your money? Fuck buying outfits, get books instead! XD XD XD XD “Mothermurderer” sounds like it’s a greek revenge story. Is it? I love greek myths, they rock!

BTW, I’ll make sure to check out your Shellaria thing too, sounds very interesting. Good luck with your novel too! I suck at writing so I would never even try to write one.

Lastly,I think you have more than enough ideas for a visitor section! I really need to start on my visitor section >.>

P.S. No wait, maybe you can add a page for good resources? Like good scripts and interesting articles?

Hehe. You’re right: outfits really don’t measure up to books. NEED BOOKS. I’m especially planning on buying some more fantasy novels: I have some series here that still lack a last volume and I’m dying to read how those stories finish! I might be getting a Sims Expansion pack too, now I think about: I currently only have Business, but I want to get Nightlife too. I buy these packs in a weird order, rather than University, Nightlife and Business I’m doing it the other way ’round, hehe. I really found those shops more interesting than university courses… ;)

Also, thanks for the excellent suggestion for in my visitor section. A list of resources sounds really good, and hopefully I can explain there one more why NO ONE should use Cutenews. Really, I’ve been visiting some websites lately that do not only feature tons of celebrity images (however, I can live with that) but all run on Cutenews…I’m stressing over it because I know the script is like a SPAM magnet, but apparently half of the world wide web is not aware of this yet…Bluh *sigh in frustration*. Anyway, I’m going to check my “Favorites” now to see if any good resources are there already, then I’m going to start on a list of resources :D

I’m glad you want to check out the Shellaria thing. I love writing, especially fantasy, and it’s always nice to get some feedback or a second opinion. :D

And lastly, YES you should start on your visitor section. Like NOW :D Hehe.

Everytime I go to the mall, I could be found in one of the two book stores :P. AWWWWWW, THE SIMS! I haven’t played that in forever(the old ones)! They were sooooo freaken fun!

Yay for a Cutenews article! I always suggest to people that it’s unsafe to use because of the security holes, and then they’re like “what security holes?”. :P I’m not PHP savvy so I have no idea why. I also don’t get how people don’t notice that it’s a spam magnet. >.<

Haha, I’ve been putting off the visitor section four two months, I should really start it.

Hope you had a nice Easter!^_^
I’ve never really been a big fan of chocolate..I have to be in the mood for it, which isn’t very often…and not that I talk about it, I wouldn’t mind having some chocolate right now….
Your Shellaria story definitely seems like something I would like to read. ^_^ I’ve only read the 1st paragraph so far but I can tell it’s good ^_^.
Speaking of visitor content, I should really work on mine. I haven’t really added anything since I got hosted :x.
Yeah, and I’ve been thinking about the Cutenews thing and I was wondering if switching to Wordpress would be okay? I haven’t heard about any spam problems about it.

Thanks for the comments about my Shellaria story. I’m glad you like it :D

Switching to WordPress would most definately be okay. Although is it, in standard form, not a 100 percent SPAM-free, there are some awesome plugins that can reduce the amount of SPAM one gets when using WordPress to the absolute minimum. However, switching to WP is a big step, because they’re very different. WP is a CMS, meaning that it is actually your ENTIRE website, not just some blog-function. All pages are insert into a WP database, and are very dynamic. Besides, the WP Codex is kind of hard to understand too.

As you probably noticed, I’m using WordPress on here. Although at first fairly difficult, when you finally get the hang of it, it’s the best thing ever. The widgets (this is some drag and drop system: you just drag and drop stuff into your sidebar) really help too now. Back in the days when I first used WP, there weren’t any widgets yet ;) So I’d say: GO FOR IT! :D However, the default theme of WP is really ugly, but there is a large WP Theme Viewer where you can download themes from, or you could try to figure it out yourself, but I warn you: it is difficult. Apart from the templates, WP is really easy to use and speaks for itself. If you install it and run into any problem, feel free to ask though. I’ll help if I can :D

    Who does not adore chocolate?

I set up an account on GoodReads a while ago. I’m a sucker for organizing my life on the Internet, particularly the shelf life of books I read.
